life is what you imagine

I imagine myself
With no cares in the world
Money, women, whiskey and wine
At my disposal

Soaking up life until
It runs dry

Until I die of natural causes or
Die a result of my lifestyle

I imagine myself
A great writer
Adored and hated by all

I imagine these things as
I lay in bed at night
Staring at the ceiling
While my dog plays
Hide and seek with
The blankets until he
Finds the right spot

I imagine these things
Until my eyes grow bored

then the alarm sounds off
and it’s time for me to let my
dog out so he can imagine
he is free
