observing death

there's not much

left to do now

except watch

him die 

as he lay there still

motionless 

surviving on 

artificial breath

and sweeteners

to give the 

impression that 

there is life

still left inside

i just look on

motionless 

as I realize 

that I have 

been surviving on the 

artificial  breath

of others 

and pretending 

that I still

got life left

in me
