it's a shit storm out there

Everywhere I go
Everywhere I turn
Every social media site
Giving attention to
   groups
grumbling about issues
who don’t have answers
To make the changes

Institutional racism
Free tuition
Higher minimum wages for
  On campus jobs
A coffee monster not
   Acknowledging the holiday spirit

Fuck him  Fuck her
Politics are now a dramedy

There is war
 Terrorism
Hunger and poverty
Most likely related to the
     The world disorder

I could be the problem
I am the problem
For not having the passion
   Or strong views
Others hold

For I’m just trying to
Keep myself sane
Raise my children
The best I know how
And make
  Sure I keep checking the expiration
Dates on my dairy
 Before I expire
